Requirements
This course is open to all, you don’t need any prior experience though familiarity with basic GIS will be an advantage. Full course details can be downloaded here: Course Information Sheet
For day 1, you will need to bring a laptop and mouse with you to ensure that you can participate in the workshop sessions. All practical sessions will be undertaken in QGIS, an open-source geographical information software (download instructions will be sent with your registration confirmation).
The field trip on day 2 will be to explore a landscape within 1hr of our base in Swindon. We will be walking / standing outdoors for much of the day, so a basic level of fitness will be required. If there are any accommodations that we can make to assist you, please don’t hesitate to let us know
Registration
There will be a maximum of 8 participants so please book and pay in advance to secure your place on the course. Payment via Paypal or credit card at time of booking is preferred, please contact us if this is not possible. Please use the form to the right to book onto the course.
Booking Terms & Conditions
If you find that you can’t attend we will refund the cost of the course minus an administrative fee of £30 until noon on Friday two weeks before the course. Refunds will not be made after this point, but transferring your place to another individual or credit for a future course will be considered where possible.
Our courses typically require a minimum of three participants to run. In the unlikely case that there are not enough bookings to run a course we will notify participants and make a full refund of the course fee by noon on Friday two weeks before the course.
Your Personal Data – What we collect and why
Some personal data (name, email and telephone) is collected to allow us to process your course booking, to tailor our course to your requirements and communicate with you. Communications will only ever be from PTS Consultancy and will relate directly to the course you have booked on. We will hold your details in our secure database for two years after your course date to help us to provide updates on critical course content, related information of interest and other training opportunities that you might be interested in via our newsletter.
