I noticed today that it’s been almost two weeks since I last wrote here. The excuse? Put plainly, I’ve been having too much fun (and travelling quite a bit, but more of that later).
Part of the fun was a trip last weekend to the mountains. Janice and I accompanied by Murphy the dog made a trip out to Hanging Rock State Park early Sunday morning. I’d been wanting to get up to the mountains since reading my Rough Guide on the plane, but it’s one of those things that is pretty damn near impossible without a car (incidentally, I’ve found there aren’t as many things you really need a car for here as the doom-mongers would have you believe). The scenery was beautiful and we had the trail to ourselves. A perfect Sunday morning walk.
My very talented housemate, Janice, also made a short film of the weekend in which I play a (slightly reluctant) starring role from the 2.30 min mark. Watch it, it’s awesome.
